“Floods, Facts and Wetlands”, the first issue of SpongeBoost’s comic series, has been translated into nine languages and is now available on Zenodo and the project's website.
SpongeBoost’s mission is to develop effective solutions for increasing or restoring the water regulatory capacity of the European landscapes in an attempt to adapt to the impacts of climate change. In order to promote its objectives, the project has developed a comic book with an original character called Spongy. With the creative illustrations, developed in collaboration with Melissa Harms and Nele Schacht from parzelle34, and its inspiring story, this output simplifies the complex scientific concepts and makes them easily accessible to both experts and non-experts.
Being available in nine languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Estonian, Dutch and Czech), the comic book can now reach a wider audience and thus provide more publicity for the project’s narrative.
