From 17 to 21 June 2024, SpongeBoost was one of the many projects that Pensoft Publishers' scholarly publishing and project team showcased at the 7th European Congress of Conservation Biology (ECCB). The event, organised by the Society for Conservation Biology and hosted by the University of Bologna, focused on the theme “Biodiversity Positive by 2030.”

At the Pensoft stand, delegates explored the publisher’s extensive portfolio of over 30 open-access journals in ecology and biodiversity. Additionally, Pensoft showcased its involvement in several Horizon projects as a science communication leader.

At the booth, delegates had the opportunity to review project outputs and informative materials from SpongeBoost, REST-COAST, BioAgora and OBSGESSION. These European Commission-selected initiatives aim to mitigate biodiversity decline and foster sustainable ecosystems in key European regions.
