The Nature-based Solutions (NbS) International Congress 2026 will take place from 2 to 6 November in Paris, France. Organised jointly by the French National Research Programme on Nature-based Solutions (SOLU-BIOD) and NetworkNature, in collaboration with Urban Nature Plans+, Biodiversa+, Sorbonne University and the City of Paris, the congress will bring together more than 500 participants from science, policy and practice to explore how nature-based solutions can help build a more resilient future.

As part of NetworkNature Week, SpongeBoost’s Project Coordinator Mathias Scholz (UFZ) will participate in the event and present the project’s comic book through a poster, showcasing an accessible way to communicate the importance of restoring natural water-retention functions and building climate-resilient landscapes.

The NbS International Congress 2026 will take place over five days and be structured around two main tracks: the Scientific Conference and the NetworkNature week.
