As we step into the new year, we take a look at SpongeBoost’s 2025, which was shaped by creativity, innovation and many firsts.

We introduced Spongy, our original character, released our first comic book in nine languages, awarded our first SpongeBooster, launched S.P.O.N.G.E – the online navigation guide for European sponge projects, and shared our first results on Zenodo, alongside many other milestones.

We’re excited about what 2026 will bring and look forward to continuing to share our journey with you.
